10.4 What is a household goods motor carrier's normal liability for loss and damage when accepting goods from an individual shipper?

Household goods motor carriers are legally liable for Full Value Protection. Full Value Protection covers household goods that are lost, damaged, destroyed, or otherwise not delivered to the final destination in an amount equal to the replacement value of the household goods. Refer to 49 CFR 375.201.
